I am an 87-year-old widower who lives alone. Last week, I fell at home, resulting in a fractured skull, damaged eye, double vision, internal bleeding, etc. The care I received from the 9-1-1 EMT Ambulance folks, Rusty Hamilton and crew, ER nursing staff, including a wonderful nurse whose name I, with apologies, have forgotten, ER Dr. Livingston, to the Flight for Life people who monitored my body from hospital to hospital all provided swift, professional and outstanding care.
These are the folks who make our small community Southwest Memorial Hospital an outstanding asset in the limited areas in which they work. And I'd be remiss if I didn't thank my son and family who with speed and care responded to my call for help. Their love and assistance are gratefully accepted and appreciated. I also acknowledge the Blessed Observer in Heaven who held my hand the entire ordeal. Thank you all for saving my sight and possibly, my life.
