Cortez recently announced that the proposed land use code is now available for public review.
The city asked that the community learn about the updates proposed in the draft and provide feedback before it is presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission on Feb. 18 and the City Council on Feb. 25 and March 11.
“Thank you to everyone who has participated in this process over the past two years. Your input has been instrumental in shaping this draft and ensuring it reflects the needs and goals of the community,” the city said. “Review the draft and share your comments today.”
The land use code can be viewed online at www.cortezco.gov/940/Land-Use-Code-Update.
Feedback can be provided on the city’s webpage at www.tinyurl.com/LUC-Update.
Comments may be provided to Rachael Marchbanks, director of community and economic development, at rmarchbanks@cortezco.gov or (970) 564-4046 or by visiting Cortez City Hall, 123 Roger Smith Ave., to view a printed draft of the land use code and provide feedback on a comment card.
