As the 2025 Supercross season heads into its countdown to completion, Cooper Webb continues to lengthen his overall points lead.
During Round 11 at Lumen Field in Seattle despite a brief battle with rivals Chase Sexton and Ken Roczen, Webb managed to claim first place.
At the start of the main event, Aaron Plessinger and Malcolm Stewart “tag” each other in the first turn, allowing Webb to claim the hole shot. Sexton, caught in the middle of the pack, continued to work his way up in the race, passing Plessinger for fifth. Sexton then set his sights on Dylan Ferrandis, who rode in fourth.
Meanwhile, Webb and Roczen battled for the first place position, with Roczen finally edging Webb out. Roczen was riding with an injured shoulder.
“The guy’s shoulder is in really bad shape,” commentators said. “To be able to hold on for as long as he did in these treacherous conditions is just a sign of how strong he is and the determination.”
Webb tried to pass Roczen, but Roczen managed to hold on. Soon, Sexton moved to second, passing Webb and Justin Cooper. Soon after Sexton passed, Cooper crashed.
Sexton claimed the lead, but only held the lead for a short time before Webb regrouped and took first. Sexton tried to pass Webb again on the final turn, but was unable to pull it off.
Webb placed first, with Sexton in second and Plessinger in third.
The next Supercross races will be at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Sunday, April 13.
