Although a candidate’s age can statistically increase or decrease the chances of becoming incapacitated during a term in office, there is no guarantee that a younger individual would prove any better.
Any of us can die or become, otherwise, unable to serve at any time. Wouldn’t it be more logical to consider the team behind a candidate? Which team, and this includes elected officers, cabinet members and appointed advisers, has more experience and a track record of getting things done that benefit the most Americans?
Which team is best able to give viable alternatives to the difficulties we face both now and in the future? Which team has a proven track record of governing? If the worst happens, which team is better prepared to continue? Shouldn’t administrative cohesion be a factor? Think about it.
