Condé Nast readers rank Telluride the No. 1 ski area in U.S., Canada

TELLURIDE – Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader Choice Survey ranked Telluride Ski Resort the No. 1 one ski area in the U.S. and Canada for the second year in a row.

Twenty thousand skiers voted on the top destinations in North America, rating terrain, lifts, nightlife, ambiance, restaurants, and lodging. Telluride’s remarkable beauty and legendary runs set it apart from other ski destinations establishing the small mountain town, once again, on top of this impressive list.

“Getting ranked a second year in a row as #1 is a great accolade for Telluride,” said Greg Pack, Telluride Ski Resort’s new president and general manager. “I’m honored to be a new member of such a dynamic team at this World Class resort.”

Condé Nast readers consider Telluride, “the most beautiful mountain town in Colorado with views reminiscent of the Alps,” but the undeniable beauty of this, “little slice of heaven in a gorgeous box canyon” is not the only thing they love.

Telluride’s lack of lift lines, overall laid-back vibe, and charming, historic town all appealed to voters, helping preserve its first place ranking. Other comments proclaim Telluride, “absolutely the world’s greatest ski area when it comes to variety of difficulty,” and those less enthusiastic about the terrain found it, “a fun town to explore.”
