Community radio serving the Four Corners

The Sunflower Theatre and KSJD Radio headquarters and Main and Market streets.

The League of Women Voters of Montezuma County will meet Saturday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. at the Dolores Public Library.

The program will explore the role of KSJD and the Sunflower Theater. Participants include Executive Director Wynn Jones and News Director Lucas Brady Woods.

Another participant may be the recently employed reporter Sofia Stuart-Rosi. Discussion will center on making community radio a service to the community and how positive feedback can improve the interaction.

The League meeting will be both an in-person event as well as available on Zoom. The information for the Zoom link will be posted on the Facebook page for the League of Women Voters of Montezuma County. It is expected that Ballot Issue pamphlets will be available at the in-person meeting.

The LWV of Colorado publish a booklet giving the pros and cons of the issues on the November 2nd Colorado Ballot. The cost of the printed booklets is covered by a generous donation from the Four Corners Board of Realtors. Booklets will also be distributed at public libraries and the office of the Montezuma County Clerk.
