The city of Cortez’s cleanup week will be May 16 through 20.
The city of Cortez will host a cleanup week May 16-20. Residents may leave extra waste at their curbs to be picked up the same day as their trash.
All waste must be contained. No contractor waste, tires, mattresses, electronics, appliances, asbestos, barrels of liquid, batteries, chemicals, hazardous waste, oil or paint will be picked up. Branches must be bundled and no longer than 4 feet long.
Any elderly or disabled resident who needs assistance putting items at their curb may call the City Service Center at 565-7320. Call before May 5 to be put on the list.
