Charity Bowl Sale benefits Tres Rios Habitat for Humanity

Don Ellis, instructor at San Juan College, turned down an arts scholarship in college because he did not see a way to make a living as an artist. Ellis will host the annual Charity Bowl Sale on Nov. 21 and 22.

The annual Charity Bowl Sale, will be hosted by San Juan College's Professor Don Ellis and his pottery students on Nov. 21 and 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Henderson Fine Arts Center, in the 9000 meeting rooms.

Purchases of bowls come with a complimentary fill-up of hot soup from Mary's Kitchen, bowls will be sold for $10. The event will also offer a variety of other handmade items such as holiday ornaments, jewelry, pottery, scarves, beadwork and more.
