Chamber office is on the move

Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce membership coordinator Cathy Kingery is busy this week settling into the new headquarters for the Chamber at 31 W. Main Street, next to Citizens State Bank. The new office increases their space from 250 to 1,400 square feet.

More activities, more projects, more members and more business translates to the need for more space. The Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce is moving to 31 W. Main Street in downtown Cortez, right next to Citizens State Bank, in order to expand and enhance our services.

The primary mission of the Chamber is to foster business prosperity. It builds relationships with members and groups through cooperation, education, networking and resources. The Chamber is member- supported. All businesses, organizations and individuals with or without a business affiliation are welcome to join.

The new, larger location is a place where business owners, community leaders and the public can come and gain a sense of belonging and mutual gain.

To celebrate the move, the Chamber is offering 10 percent off on all new memberships during December, and the public is invited to stop by for coffee, cookies and a tour.
