The man whose body was discovered in a boat on Ash Street in late January has been identified as Dominic Olivas.
An autopsy last week didn’t show evidence of anything suspicious, said Police Chief Roy Lane.
However, the cause of death is still unknown, said Coroner George Deavers.
“We’re not seeing any evidence of exposure or foul play,” he said, adding that the coroner’s office is waiting for the results of a toxicology test that could take seven days to five weeks.
The owner of the boat was taking out his trash when he noticed a tear in the boat’s cover, Lane said.
The resident went over to look at the tear when he discovered the body man and called police.
The man appeared to have been in the boat for a while, Lane said.
