Students and community members gathered outside of the Mancos school building Friday morning to wish the football team good luck on its playoff journey.

After making their way through a crowd well-wishers to the bus, members of the Mancos football team received a friendly escort from the Mancos Fire Department during their playoff send-off Friday morning.
The Blue Jays finished the regular season with a 5-4 record to earn a spot in the Colorado 8-Man Football State Playoffs for the second consecutive season.
Seeded 13th in the 16-team bracket, Mancos will travel to No. 4 Hoehne (7-2, 5-0 A-8 Southern League) for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.
