Mouse season is upon us, and for those of us who have little visitors at night or cats dropping deceased furball presents pillows can agree that this time of year can be slightly inconvenient.
I ask you, please, do not purchase mouse poison to tackle this inconvenience. Mouse poison also known as rodenticide not only poisons the mouse and is inhumane, but also poisons and kills birds of prey. Weak and dying from rodenticide poisoning, a rodent will exit a home in search of water. It can be easily caught and eaten by a bird of prey. The poison in the rodent can eventually cause the natural predator to become very ill, resulting in a horrific death.
Rodenticide causes internal organs to hemorrhage, resulting in massive internal bleeding and liquidating tissue. The blood exits from every orifice on the animal’s body. It’s a gruesome, torturous and painful death. The animal suffers for days before it finally dies.
The least you can do is, please, stay away from rodenticides. There are so many better options for tackling a little mouse problem.
