The Museum of Navajo Art & Culture invites the public to attend a storytelling seminar with Lyle Báhózhóní Harvey at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the museum, 301 W. Main St.
Listen to Harvey’s storytelling presentation of First Woman and her cornfield. The session is free and open to all ages.
Harvey is a storyteller, presenter and consultant who specializes in working with youth. He shares cultural stories and skills through events, classroom curriculum and skills-based projects at schools and organizations throughout the Four Corners.

The Farmington Regional Career Fair will take place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Farmington Civic Center, 200 W. Arrington St.
The fair will host a variety of businesses and organizations currently seeking applications. Employers will have information available on current and upcoming job openings.
Meet potential employers and interview for available positions on the spot. Employers will accept resumes or have online applications available.

Aztec Senior and Community Center will host the Senior Souper Bowl Benefit and craft and vendor show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the center, 101 S. Park Ave.
Shop local artists, artisans and vendors while enjoying a bowl of soup. Soup bowls are $10 and will be available starting at 11 a.m. Soup purchases include salad and a breadstick. Take-home cups of soup are also available for $5.
Music will be provided from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. by DJ Chopsticks.

Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Awards Banquet from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, March 10, at SunRay Park and Casino’s top floor, 39 County Road 5568.
The banquet will open with a meet and greet and the opportunity to bid on silent auction items. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., with Lenten meal options available if they are preordered. The awards presentation will begin at 8 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to dress for the theme of the Roarin’ 1920s

Farmington Police Department and community partners will host a meth and fentanyl awareness conference from 9 a.m .to 4 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Shiprock Chapter House, U.S. Highway 64.
Conference presentations and speakers will focus on raising awareness of the dangers of meth and fentanyl. Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren will present at the conference, and personal testimonies will be given as well.
Discussions and educational opportunities will be offered by San Juan County Partnership Narcan training, Veterans Outreach Program, Capacity Builders, Farmington Police Department, Navajo Police Department, Drug Enforcement Agency Administration, Victory Life Church and behavioral health services.
The conference is free and open to the public.
