The Montezuma-Cortez Panthers, Dolores Bears and Dove Creek Bulldogs all participated in tournaments over the weekend, although none of them hard particularly great luck.
Playing in the Aztec Tournament, the Panthers dropped three consecutive games, to Aztec (9-7), Kirtland Central (11-3) and Sante Fe (13-5) to settle their record at 0-5 on the season.
The Bears’ record slid to 0-3 after they dropped games to Cedaredge (19-14) and Buena Vista (11-4) in the Ignacio Tournament.
Finally, the Dove Creek Bulldogs lost to both Summit Academy (10-2) and Monticello (9-8) in the San Juan Tournament in Blanding.
However, they also recorded a win on the weekend by taking down Pagosa Springs, 17-1.
The Dolores Bears play again today in Shiprock, while the Panthers play in Pagosa Springs, and then M-CHS will host Dove Creek for a double-header on Saturday in Cortez.
