‘Bad night, throw him under bus?’

I usually agree with most editorials, but not the one about abandoning our president.

Joe Biden has done so much for this country, more than the last five presidents combined, especially for the average Joe. All in a time of extreme chaos and confusion. After one misstep, we should abandon him?

How about a bike racer who had a terrible day finishing 55th? Our own Sepp Kuss, shall we abandon him? Ask him to quit racing? Heck, no, we get behind him and do whatever we can to help.

Yes, Biden is old, but with age often comes wisdom. He had a bad day, actually it was 9 pm. To start a debate at 9 pm, after traveling to Europe several times and keeping the schedule he keeps, would run down a young person’s immune system. He was sick and rundown. I’m not surprised.

This is the most important election of our lifetime, and many people feel that Biden is our best bet. He and his able staff know what is at stake and how to win an election. To start over now is a big mistake. Every other politician who has tried to run in place of a president that has withdrawn, has failed.

We all need to get behind Biden and push (gently). He has had our back for so long on so many issues affecting both the young and the old. One bad night and we throw him under the bus? No way!
