A free continuing legal education session about multi-unit housing issues will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 19 in the Oak Room at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.
The training is open to attorneys and mediators interested in housing law, and will cover topics, including: fair housing primer; tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities; statutory and common-law housing remedies for residents in multi-unit housing; secondhand smoke as a legal issue; implementation of smoke-free policies; medicinal and recreational marijuana; retaliation under the Fair Housing Act; ethical issues in housing; and un-bundling opportunities in housing law.
