At the Dolores Public Library

The Dolores Public Library plans three more parts in its Winter Tales series of presentations. They are:

Thursday, March 3

“Winter Tales: Republic of Georgia, Mountains of Poetry.”

Local teacher Tim Kercer hosts a presentation at the Dolores library on the sights, sounds and poetry of the former Soviet republic of Georgia. Kercher lived and taught in the Republic of Georgia for four years, and translated some of the country’s best poets.

Thursday, March 10

“Winter Tales: Southwest Circlequest.”

Join local outdoorsman Brett LeCompte at the Dolores library as he delves into his second presentation on his four-month, 1,400-mile solo walkabout from the Rockies to the Grand Canyon and back.

The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 31

“Winter Tales: Fingerpicking for Beginners.”

Local guitar virtuoso Wild Billy Kneebone, of the Porchlights, hosts a beginning-guitar workshop at the Dolores library for aspiring musicians. Kneebone will teach attendees two styles of fingerpicking. Bring an acoustic guitar.
