Join the San Juan College Planetarium for their ‘AstroSaturday: Luminaria Stargaze’ on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. During the three hour event, the campus lights will be turned off to create a perfect stargazing environment in the courtyard between the planetarium and the Connie Gotsch Theatre.
Attendees will have the opportunity to view faraway celestial objects such as Saturn, Jupiter, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Great Nebula in Orion, the Pleiades and more. Parking will be available at the Quality Center for Business, the School of Energy, and the north Child and Family Development Center parking lots and only two entrances to the college will be open during the event.
Please note that the stargaze will be canceled in the case of inclement weather. See further details for the college’s 46th annual luminarias, which will coincide with the stargazing event, at https://tinyurl.com/4bravxmf.
