The Hisatsinom Chapter of the Colorado Archaeological Society will present Winston Hurst, an independent archaeologist, consultant, researcher and author at a lecture on Tuesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church, 515 Park St.

Hurst will present the “Gifts of LiDAR” with a focus of information given about Puebloan Berm-Swale Fields, ancient road systems, Racetracks of the Central Mesa Verde Region and correlating evidence first uncovered in Utah during the nineteenth century.

Discover how road-field landscapes reflect the relationship between ritual running and farming within the ancient Pueblo culture.
