There are now two vacancies on the Dolores Town Board, and applicants are being sought for the appointments.
Todd Andrews resigned June 13 because he is moving outside town limits. On May 23, Jeff Sand resigned for the same reason. They were elected to the board in April.
Interested applicants must submit a letter of interest by 4 p.m. June 27. It can be sent via email to tammy@townofdolores.com or dropped off at Town Hall, 420 Central Ave., or mailed to PO Box 630 Dolores, CO 82323.
Candidates must be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and a town resident for 12 consecutive months before the appointment date.
Town Board members are paid $100 per month. Regular meetings are the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. Workshops are scheduled to follow a regular meeting as needed.
The Town Board will review applicants and vote on the board appointment at the June 27 board meeting. The successful candidate’s term will be until the next election, in April 2024.
Visit the Town of Dolores website for meeting minutes and agendas and town information.
