The Bureau of Land Management Anasazi Heritage Center near Dolores, Colorado, will temporarily close beginning Jan. 18 through Feb. 16 to prepare a new exhibit and for building upgrades.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this closure,” said Emily Palus, BLM Acting Anasazi Heritage Center manager. “The building upgrades are vital to securing artifacts while ensuring the public and our employees are safe during construction.”
In addition to building improvements, the BLM curation staff is also creating a new exhibition for the special exhibit gallery featuring prehistoric, historic and modern basketry from the AHC collections and from the Twin Rocks Trading Post.
