Two letters in late September just parroted Republican blather that in Orwellian fashion, turns everything on its head. Their writers would make great Kremlin spokesmen in their effort to defeat democracy worldwide.
Republicans have made it perfectly clear that federally mandated abortion is their goal. The “economy, inflation, gas prices, borders, crime and education” is Republican – speak for “we will keep shoveling wealth upward to the 1%, do nothing about inflation, deny legal entry to asylum seekers, use race to scapegoat the majority that scares us, and keep children ignorant and intolerant.”
It panders to their white minority and is intentionally cruel and nationalist.
The letters, full of indignation, are all crocodile tears. Asylum seekers were kidnapped for a political stunt and the perpetrators’ excuses are woefully inadequate.
