Pleasant View Elementary students (grades K-5) climbed aboard the Durango & Silverton Train on Monday, April 27, and traveled up the mountain to Cascade. They stopped for lunch and then headed back down. The train conductor pointed out sites including the waterfall. The kids caught glimpse of a rainbow that was created from the steam let out by the train. Everyone came home with pieces of soot in their hair. Not pictured: 10 moms of students who chaperoned the field trip.
