Four Corners Community Bank has announced that Charles Thompson, who claims 32 years of experience as a senior loan officer, has joined its Cortez agriculture lending team.
“His knowledge and previous experience working with USDA Rural Development will be a tremendous asset to our customers,” Cortez Market President Steve Slagle said in a news release.
Previously working in central and southern Colorado, Thompson administered loan programs for farming, business, community facilities, water and waste, and renewable energy.
Thompson received a bachelor’s degree in range science from Brigham Young University, and a master’s in range management from Kansas State University, the news release said. He also holds a certificate from the OPM School of Management and is a former certified USDA appraiser.
Thompson is a member of the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Posse, and participates in law enforcement activities as directed by the sheriff. He grew up in Mulvane, Kansas, where he spent much of his youth working on farms.
