What: A $43.95 million, 162,500-square foot high school
Where: 35-acre parcel south of Walmart off Sligo and 7th streets
When: Voters decide on Nov. 6; mail-in ballots go out on Oct. 15
How: 52 percent funded by state BEST grant ($22.7 million); 48 percent funded by local taxpayers ($21.25 million) through 20-year bond

Current school has security and safety issues
Lack of adequate heating/cooling infrastructure
Lack of space
Lack of modern technology
Construction would put people to work and benefit local businesses
Athletic facilities would be located next to new school
New school would be energy-saving due to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certifications
