Renowned Colorado nature photographer John Fielder will be in Dolores on Oct. 10 at the Dolores Community Center, 400 Riverside Ave. There will be a reception with Fielder from 6-7 p.m. hosted by the Montezuma Land Conservancy. Admission is $20 and includes light hor doeuvres and beverages.
From 7-8 p.m. there will be presentation and slideshow followed by a book signing. Admission is $10 for presentation only.
Fielder collaborated to commemorate the work achieved with Great Outdoors Colorado share of Lottery funds in two new books: The Guide to Colorados Great Outdoors: Lottery-funded Parks, Trails, Wildlife Areas and Open Spaces, and Colorados Great Outdoors Celebrating 20 years of Lottery funded Lands, which features photographs of some of the most beautiful lands preserved with the help of GOCO funds, from public county open space to private working ranches.
A portion of all book sales will benefit Montezuma Land Conservancy.
This November marks the 20th anniversary of Colorado voters creating GOCO and designating that it receive up to 50 percent of lottery proceeds to preserve, protect and enhance the states wildlife, parks, rivers, trails and open spaces. For information call 970-565-1664, or visit montezumaland.org
