The Cortez City Council will discuss possible community gardens and the transition to new council members when it meets for its workshop meeting 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 210 East Main St.
At the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m., the council will vote on a consent agenda which includes a renewal of a liquor license for Tequilas Restaurant, renewal of a beer license for Pizza Hut, modification of premises for City Market to expand beer display space, and a special events permit for the Four Corners Child Advocacy Center to hold a fundraiser April 15, at 34 and 30 West Main St. in Cortez. Last on the consent agenda, the council will consider allowing Oregon Public Broadcasting to photograph the airport.
Under new business, the council is scheduled to consider first reading of an ordinance regarding distance requirements for medical marijuana centers, and set public hearing for April 24.
Next, the council will consider awarding the 2012 motor vehicle bid to Keesee Motors for $39,947.
Last under new business, the council will consider authorizing the payment of $910.641.07 to the Cortez Sanitation District as final payment to remedy a billing error.
