Your story about Junior Shooter Rayanne McClure was much appreciated. But you left out one important fact about the NRA Junior Shooting Club. It is actually organized and sponsored by the 4 Corners Rifle & Pistol Club.
Our club is over 50 years old. It has almost 500 members, and was founded for the purpose of training and supporting junior shooting in Cortez. The first practices and competitions were held in the basement of the Calkins School.
The 4 Corners Rifle & Pistol Club supplies all of the equipment, facilities for shooting and training for our junior shooters free of charge. Norm Bowie, our club’s junior shooting director (assisted by numerous volunteers), provides leadership and instruction to all the participants.
