3 women, 1 child injured in U.S. Highway 160 crash

Traffic blocked for more than an hour east of Elmore’s Corner

Three women and a child were injured and sent to Mercy Regional Medical Center on Saturday evening in a three-car crash east of Elmore’s Corner.

Colorado State Patrol Master Sgt. Gary Cutler said the crash between mile markers 92 and 93 on U.S. Highway 160 was blocking traffic, and was reported around 6:40 p.m. The highway was finally cleared at 8:05 p.m.

The three women, ages 26, 33, and 43, the drivers of the vehicles, and the child, whose age was not given, were taken to Mercy, but Cutler said he did not know of the severity of their injuries.

He did not have a full report of the incident, and did not know if additional passengers were in the vehicles.

Two compact SUVs were involved and one full-size SUV, but Cutler did not have details about what caused the crash.
