2025 Annual City of Cortez Community Support Grant deadline is in October

Grants for qualifying organizations amount up to $5,000

On Thursday, the city of Cortez announced that the 2025 Cortez Community Support Grant deadline is Friday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.

The city budgets money from the general fund to support local businesses and organizations that “preserve or enrich the health, education and welfare of the community” through the grants.

The grants total up to $5,000, and can be used to support activities and programs that serve the community and “encourage the development of healthy community organizations.”

Those who receive grants will receive the funding in January of 2025.

The grant’s application and guidelines for applying can be found online at the City of Cortez’s website at https://www.cortezco.gov/455/Community-Support-Grant-Program.

Applications can be submitted to Debbie Speer by sending an email to dspeer@cortezco.gov, through the mail or in person at the City Council building.

Mail can be sent to the City of Cortez, Attn: Debbie Speer, 123 Roger Smith Ave. in Cortez. The applications must be received by the city by 5 p.m. on Oct. 18.
