Currently, trail users must ford the river on rocks, which can be tricky at high water.
Trail users will be able to continue to cross through the river during the bridge construction, but caution is advised. Construction is anticipated to last through mid-July. The Geyser Springs Trail accesses the only true geyser in Colorado.
This is a fun trail and usually, to me at least, only accessible in the fall when the river is a mere trickle, but still tricky to cross on slippery rocks. This will be a wonderful addition.
Preview album at Brewery
Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers will celebrate the release of their album World of Strangers at the Dolores River Brewery on May 17. The album will be released on May 27.
Making her name in the Pacific Northwest, where she's been called "Seattle's Emmylou," and heralded as one of the best songwriters from Washington State, Muth spent the past three years touring across the U.S. and Europe.
Playing bars and cafes as a preschool teacher, Muth saved up her earnings and beer-bucket tips to pay for her 2009 debut album, Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers. That album, along with her 2011 Starlight Hotel, went on to gather international praise, and landed on No Depression's "Top 50 Albums" list.
