9:15 a.m. Mancos Deputy Sgt. Brad Ray responded to an address on Bauer Avenue in reference to a stolen American flag, taken on the night of March 11. The suspect left a note stating that the flag was taken because the owner was being “disrespectful.” Fingerprints from the note were sent to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Saturday, March 14
1:22 a.m. Mancos Deputy Jared Farnsworth observed a sedan make an illegal U-turn on Grand Avenue, then fail to stop at the stop sign at Main Street and Grand Avenue. The driver did not perform a satisfactory roadside test and was arrested for driving under the influence.
12:38 p.m. Sgt. Brad Ray conducted a contact with a vehicle due to no registration in the 44000 block of U.S. Highway 160 in Montezuma County. The vehicle’s driver had four active warrants for his arrest, and so he was placed in custody and transported to the Montezuma County Jail.
Sunday, March 15
2 p.m. Sgt. Ray responded to a reported disturbance at the Columbine Bar. When he arrived at the scene, the man who started the issue had left, but Ray found him near the Mancos High School. The man, who had two restraining orders preventing him from consuming alcohol, was taken into custody for violating restraining orders and was transported to the Montezuma County Jail.
