Pet of the week

This is Red. He is a young adult golden retriever-chow mix male. He is a very energetic youngster and needs a nice fenced yard and someone who can give him the attention he needs. He does great with other dogs and kids. Remember that the breed of a dog does not always make the dog. He is a gentle boy and with more training he will be a great addition to any family. The Cortez Animal Shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed every other Friday for intensive cleaning. Adoption fees include altering, microchip, first vaccines except rabies, and a free health exam at any local vet. For more information, call the Cortez Animal Shelter at 565-4910. To view adoptable pets online, visit www.petango.com and enter the ZIP code 81321 or www.cityofcortez.com/government/animal_shelter.
