The New Nation Worship Center hosted a vintage Mother’s Day Tea Party on May 11 at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Cortez.
Delphine Crutcher read and commented on Proverbs 31 and handed out printouts titled “Who is the Proverbs 31 Woman.” Some of her books were displayed as suggested reading.
Lori Shearer and Francis Roggenbach each have a booth at the Traditional Charm Antiques Mall in Dolores and decorated and set up each table’s, creative shabby chic décor.
The tables included nostalgic tablecloths, centerpieces, teapots and tea cups. A variety of teas and other beverages were served along with finger sandwiches, snacks and assorted sweets.
The tea was opened with prayer. Fran Roggenbach shared from Tea Talk with God. An entertaining ice breaker, gave everyone a chance to introduce themselves. Names were drawn for door prizes and a gift basket.
Discussion is already being made about holding the event annually.
