The Montezuma County Health Department will host two community conversations on Friday, Feb. 22 at Axis Health Systems, 691 E. Empire, Cortez. The morning conversation is for key stakeholders (i.e. people who work in the health, medical, and human service field). This meeting will be held from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. and will include light morning snacks. The mid-day conversation is open to the general public (anyone may attend) and will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include a light lunch.
These conversations will cover information on local health issues (i.e. obesity prevention, tobacco, injury prevention, immunizations, etc.) as the foundation for the County Health Department's planning process focused on Colorado's Ten Winnable Battles. Data will be presented on seven different topics and participants will have the opportunity to share their perspectives on these issues along with voting on their top choices for what the Health Department should prioritize in their planning process. All input will be heard and considered in the planning process.
Those that would like to attend, please RSVP to Lori Cooper at 565-3056 or firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, Feb. 20.
