Former Canadian National Team swimmer Coleman Allen will host a free swim clinic at the Cortez Municipal Pool on July 28-29. The clinic will be open to swimmers of all ages who are able to swim at least one length of the pool.
Allen, who is a senior Canadian record holder in the 50- and 100-meter butterfly, will focus on stroke technique, start technique and turn technique. Swimmers will be divided into groups based on ability.
The clinic, which is sponsored by Friends of Recreation, will run 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. each morning. Space in the clinic is limited, and swimmers will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those interested in securing a spot are encouraged to email Allen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
