Permits for cutting Christmas trees on Bureau of Land Management lands are available.

The permits are for piñon pine or juniper and are $8-10 per tree. Permits are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

In Dolores, go to the Dolores Public Lands Center, 29211 Colorado Highway 184. Call for more information.

Additionally, maps of cutting areas are available at the BLM offices, and the public should bring along a handsaw, eye protection, rope or twine, extra food, water and blankets.
