Holiday Gala set to help young victims of neglect and abuse

The Four Corners Child Advocacy Center will hold its 15th annual Holiday Gala benefiting young victims of abuse on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Destination Grill, 2121 East Main St. in Cortez.

Tickets for the event, which includes dinner and a silent and live auction, are $60 each. RSVPs are required by Dec 1.

The Four Corners Child Advocacy Center is a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthen the community’s response to child abuse and neglect through prevention, intervention, education and advocacy. It has provided a safe, child-friendly environment to help ease the emotional trauma experienced by children during the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases since 1992.

The menu for the gala includes a winter greens salad with blueberries, shaved parmesan, toasted pecans, and a tarragon buttermilk dressing; tender baseball steak with red wine reduction; garlic thyme buttery pork tenderloin; grilled broccolini with lemon; Balsamic broiled tomatoes; roasted fingerling potatoes; and a dark chocolate Pot du Crème for dessert.
