As the 2018 election quickly approaches, it’s time for voters to consider their choices.

First and foremost, embracing “family values” has always been central to many Americans’ faith, convictions and political affiliation. These principles have strength and are a guiding light for a better world.

However, the past several months have been telling. Ripping children from their parents’ arms who are seeking legal asylum is unjust and appalling. These are not American or family values. Remember too, silence is complicity.
