The week of May 8-14 is Nurses’ Week, so designated to recognize the important role nurses play in the health of communities across the country. In our county there probably are a few hundred nurses who are retired or working in clinics, schools, home health, long term care facilities and the hospital. Working with physicians and other providers they assess, evaluate, guide, educate and provide skilled and basic care. If you know a nurse, let her/him know that you appreciate what they do.
