The town of Mancos is hosting a Holiday Open House on Friday, Dec. 2.
Cookies, cider, hot chocolate and other holiday treats will be served from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Mancos Community Center, 138 Grand Ave. The Rockin’ W Chuckwagon will provide chili, sopapillas and cowboy coffee.
A one-mile Rudolph Fun-Run will start at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Plaza, and a holiday tree lighting will follow at 6 p.m. at Pioneer Plaza.
Santa will be available for photos at the community center from 6:15 to 8 p.m., and the VFW Auxiliary will be handing out bags of candy for kids.
Previously, the town has sponsored a holiday meal, but officials decided not to do a full dinner this year.
The Mancos Creative District, Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce, VFW Auxiliary and Mancos Valley Historical Society are collaborating with the town for the event.
