City of Cortez plans to unveil assessment of housing needs

The city of Cortez plans two meetings on Tuesday, May 9, to present an assessment of housing needs, which was commissioned to examine housing conditions and the housing market.

The report also will provide a five-year forecast of housing needs and recommendations, according to a news release emailed Monday by Rachael Marchbanks, community and economic development director.

The meetings May 9 are at:

  • Cortez Chamber, 20 W. Main St. noon to 1 p.m.
  • Cortez City Hall, 123 Roger Smith Ave., 5:45-6:45 p.m.

The assessment also will be posted at the city’s website, www.cortezco.gov.
