6:21 p.m., A man driving in the City Market parking lot, 508 E. Main St., ran into a curb before double parking. The man, found unconscious, said he had been drinking, and a nearly empty bottle of alcohol was in the car. The man was held on suspicion of felony DUI, driving with a revoked license, failing to provide proof of insurance, careless driving and possessing an open container in vehicle
9:02 p.m., A man in the 300 block of North Henry Street and was arrested on three warrants and cited with violating a protection order barring him from possessing or consuming alcohol.
11:56 p.m., A man stopped in the roadway in the 100 block of South Harrison Street. He stated he had gone to a restaurant after work and had been driving around since. The man did not perform a roadside test satisfactorily. He was arrested and cited with DUI, DUI per se, stopping on paved portion of a highway and improper stopping.
7:22 a.m., A man in the 500 block of East Second Street noticed a .22 caliber revolver and 50 rounds of .22 ammunition, were missing from his wife’s car. Footage from a security camera showed a person at the car at 1:50 a.m. Footage from the neighbors showed a person in a coat going through a different car at 1:30 a.m. Nothing was missing from the neighbor’s vehicle.
1:48 p.m., A man walking his dog in the 100 block of Denny Street was attacked by two dogs that jumped from a window of a parked truck. He picked up his dog and was bit on the elbow, and his pant leg was torn. The dogs’ owner confirmed the attack and verified that the two dogs had rabies vaccinations. He was cited with maintaining animals that disturb the peace. The two dogs were put on a 10-day quarantine.
2:05 p.m., An officer served two warrants to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
3:10 p.m., A man sent bitcoin to a woman he had met online, but she said she did not receive it and recommended a customer service line. The man paid the money to the woman through the customer service line until the line no longer would connect. The man tried contacting the woman, but she did not answer. From Feb. 4 to Feb. 10, the man sent incremental amounts totaling $1,600. Because bitcoin cannot be traced, the case has no further leads.
4:10 p.m., A woman in the 400 block of South Maple reported that her daughter was drunk. When an officer arrived, the daughter denied drinking, but the woman showed the officer a bedside drawer full of alcohol bottles. The daughter was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that restricts her from possessing or consuming alcohol.
11:39 a.m., A trailer in the 500 block of South Madison Street was stolen during the night. The trailer, valued at $1,500, was registered in the previous owner’s name.
7:36 p.m., A small baggie of meth was found in front of the customer service center at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. Security cameras did not indicate who dropped it.
10:31 a.m., An officer investigating a public disturbance at a home in the 400 block of West Seventh Street arrested a woman on suspicion of violating a protection order that restricts her from possessing or consuming alcohol. While being medically cleared for jail, she reported said she had been drinking since 3 a.m.
12:22 p.m., A unoccupied home in the lower 100 block of South Washington Street had was broken into. Officers found the copper wire was stripped from the outlets and fridge, the light bulbs and door handles were missing, and a coal furnace was damaged.
2:13 p.m., A man in the lower 100 block of East 13th Street noticed his 9mm handgun was missing. He said he last saw it in November.
5:38 p.m., A man in the 100 block of West Second Avenue was arrested on a warrant after banging on the door of a woman’s house. The man kicked the door of the officer’s patrol car while being placed in the back seat and used profanities and a racial slur while being medically cleared. During the ride to the Montezuma County Detention Center, the man kicked the door of officer’s patrol car and made sexual remarks toward the officer. He was cited with harassment and resisting arrest.
1:08 a.m., A man at Maverik, 455 N. State St., went behind the counter and took two packs and two cartons of cigarettes. The man place the packs near a backroom door and a carton in an aisle. A different man picked up the cartons and put them in his car.
12:40 p.m., A woman reported the front bumper of her car was cracked from a hit-and-run. The day before, the woman’s car was parked in the 23300 block of Road K. Footage from the security cameras on the campus shows a red truck hitting her car and driving off.
1:46 p.m., A man and his wife reported that the man had been attacked the day before at Veterans Park, 800 E. Montezuma Avenue., by his brother in-law, and the brother in-law’s girlfriend. The brother in-law and his girlfriend said the man had attacked the brother in-law. The girlfriend said she attacked the man to stop him from choking the brother in-law. The wife stated she saw the girlfriend hit the man but nothing before. The man said the fight was about $800 he lent to the brother in-law. The brother in-law said the fight was about how the man treated his wife. No charges are being pursued.
2:46 p.m., A man suspected of trying to steal alcohol in City Market, 508 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that restricts him from possessing or drinking alcohol.
6:15 p.m., A man at City Market, 508 E. Main St., who requested a courtesy ride to a shelter was cited with trespassing because he had previously been issued an indefinite trespass order.
11:11 p.m., A man failed to register as a sex offender after being released from jail. An officer contacted the man’s family and informed them the man needed to register by Feb. 13. At the time of the report, the man had not registered, and an arrest warrant was requested.
3:29 a.m., A man was cited with reckless driving in the First National Bank parking lot, 2258 E. Main St., after his truck spun out on ice and ran into the front of parked semitrailer. The truck had major front-end damage, and the semitrailer had minor front-end damage.
6:24 p.m., An officer served a warrant to a woman in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
8:12 p.m., A woman in the 1300 block of Mesa Verde Street reported that her car hood and passenger door had been pried open. The car’s interior lights were on, and the fuse boxed had been tampered with. The woman believes it was a woman who had come by to get boots.
