Wolf Creek Ski Area is open daily for the 2022-2023 season.
After an early November snowstorm dropped 26 inches of snow on the mountain, including 16 inches Thursday night, the ski area was able to begin spinning its lifts Friday to kick off its season.
The ski area had the Nova and Lynx beginner lifts running first thing in the morning and planned to open the Treasure Stoke and Bonanza lifts later in the day.
Treasure Stoke, Bonanza, Elma, Nova and Lynx lifts will open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Alberta lift will have delayed opening, making 90% of terrain open after avalanche hazard reduction.
Wolf Creek reported a settled mid-mountain base of 32 inches, composed of all-natural snow. This season, the mountain has received 40 inches of snowfall.
To start the new season, the local appreciation rate will be available on Saturday: $62 for adults; $43 for seniors and $32 for children. Everyone is considered a local.
Uphill traffic is allowed, but only permitted during lift operating hours.
The mountain’s ski school, rentals, Treasure Sports, Pathfinder Bar and the Wolf Creek Lodge are all open.
Wolf Creek is also taking applications for all its departments: lifts, ski school, food and beverage, base operations, retail, ticket office and more. More information is at https://bit.ly/3NQcPux
