I grew up in a community where there was a choice as to where you sent your child to school. There were several Catholic schools, a private school and the public school system. The options were varied as to which curriculum you wanted for your child. However, the religious schools and the private school were not funded by the tax dollars of the general public. If you opted for those schools, you paid for them out of your own pocket. Public funds should not be used to support the bias of a specific religion in schools. Therefore, the use of 9-R monies should not be available to Ascent, which has obvious Christian underpinnings.
