6:57 a.m. An employee reported that Best Western, 535 E. Main St., was vandalized with graffiti. An officer attempted to attain surveillance footage of the incident.
7:11 a.m. A woman reported that someone collided with her boyfriend’s truck in the 700 block of East Second Street. There were no leads or suspects.
3:09 p.m. A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
3:38 p.m. A woman was issued a summons for unsafe backing after surveillance showed her scrape a car at Pre-Owned Cars and Trucks, 401 W. Main St.
3:45 p.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant in the 800 block of South Broadway.
4:56 p.m. A man was taken into custody on three warrants in the 1400 block of East Empire Street.
5:44 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on protection order violation banning her from possessing or consuming alcohol after she was seen drinking near City Market, 508 E. Main St.
8:16 a.m. The owner at Cork and Bottle Liquors, 443 E. Main St. reported that her business was vandalized with the same graffiti lettering that was sprayed on the Best Western the day prior. Surveillance showed a woman spraying the paint. There were no further leads.
10:05 a.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
6 p.m. A couple reported that a property they were working at was broken into in the 300 block of South Valley Road, and some tools were missing. There were no leads or suspects.
4:39 p.m. A man was issued a summons for trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St.
5:30 p.m. A woman reported that a truck hit her car and took off at the intersection of Main Street and Colorado Highway 145. There were no leads or suspects.
11:56 a.m. A man reported at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., that his wife, who he is divorcing, stole a check from his mail box. An officer was going to follow up.
1:10 p.m. A man was issued a summons for trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., after he was caught shoplifting.
11:20 p.m. A woman reported at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, that she let a man borrow her car and he hadn’t returned it. The car was eventually returned and no charges were pursued.
12:34 a.m. A man was taken into custody and issued summons for drunken driving, driving the wrong way on a one-way road, failing to present insurance and failing to display lamps after he was pulled over for driving the wrong way in the lower 100 block of South Beech Street.
11:45 a.m. A man was taken into custody for shoplifting at City Market, 508 E. Main St. He was also trespassed from the store.
7:42 p.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road.
1:18 a.m. An intoxicated man was taken into custody for violating a protection order banning him from drinking after he was reported for knocking on someone’s door in the 200 block of South Harrison Street.
3:37 p.m. A man in a truck backed into another man’s trailer in the 1400 block of East Main Street. The incident was reported for insurance purposes and no charges were pursued.
6:36 p.m. A woman reported that her license plate was stolen in the 500 block of South Madison Street. There were no leads or suspects.
7:05 p.m. An officer mistakenly took an intoxicated man into custody on suspicion that he was violating protection orders by being drunk in the 300 block of West Main Street. The man did not have any protection orders and was released after being medically cleared.
10:04 a.m. A man was taken into custody on outstanding warrants at City Market, 508 E. Main St.
10:47 a.m. A man turned himself in on two outstanding warrants at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 730 E. Driscoll St.
6:35 p.m. An employee reported that a man used a fake $100 bill at Maverick’s, 455 N. State St. There were no leads or suspects.
10:45 a.m. A man was taken into custody on a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
4:46 p.m. A woman was taken into custody for drunken driving after an officer contacted her sleeping in the driver’s seat of a car with the keys in the ignition in the 600 block of South Washington Street.
