NSDAR donates 13 books to genealogy library in Cortez

The Sleeping Ute Mountain Chapter, NSDAR, began a DAR Memorial Library in 1985. This genealogy library is maintained at the Cortez Public Library. It includes more than 450 books, periodicals, and reference materials.

Many take pride in their heritage and the roles their ancestors played in U.S. history.

The following 13 additions have been donated this month:

The Great Migration Begins (3 vol.); The History and Antiquities of Every Town in Massachusetts; Soldiers in King Philip’s War; the First History of Kingston and Ulster Co., NY; Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire; History of Ancient Families of New Amsterdam and New York; Records of the Reformed Dutch Church in New Amsterdam and New York; New York State Probate Records; Tennessee Genealogical Records and Abstracts; The Maritime History of Maine; and The George M.
