The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Old Castle SW Group, Inc., have a project underway to improve Colorado 184 just east of the junction with US 491. The work, contracted for $1.3 million, is located between mile points 3.51 (3.5 miles west of the US 491 junction) and MP 8.14 (the junction with SH 145). The work involves an asphalt overlay to smooth and protect the highway surface.

Travel impacts

Through the project’s completion by June 15, motorists will encounter single-lane alternating travel during daylight hours– about 30 minutes after sunrise to 30 minutes before sunset. Up to 15-minute delays are possible, depending upon traffic queues.
