12:52 p.m. A woman dropped off a bag of mail at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St. after she found it in a ditch by her driveway.
2:32 p.m. A captain delivered an eviction notice in the 200 block of East Seventh Street.
8:27 a.m. A deputy found an abandoned bicycle in the 500 block of Central Avenue. He entered it as found property and left it at the sheriff’s substation.
12:09 p.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant in the 12700 block of Road 22 after his grandma requested a welfare check on him.
2:08 p.m. A man was issued a summons for criminal mischief after he tore a poster about inmates’ rights off the wall at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
11 p.m. A man was taken into custody on four outstanding warrants after he allegedly sped by a deputy in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 160. He was also issued a new summons for driving with a suspended license.
4:25 p.m. A deputy responded to an accident that occurred in the 27900 block of Colorado Highway 184. A state trooper took over, and the deputy cleared the scene.
4:20 p.m. A assisted a trooper while he made a drinking and driving arrest in the 5000 block of Road 21.
5:21 p.m. A barn fire occurred in the 19200 block of County Road 22. A deputy and fire chief determined it an accident.
4:40 p.m. A woman reported that her elderly father’s neighbors might be taking advantage of him in the 20500 block of Road S. A lieutenant stated that he would forward her report to Montezuma County Adult Protective Services and perform a welfare check if requested.
11:05 a.m. A man was remanded from the Montezuma County Combined Court, 865 N. Park St.
7:44 p.m. A deputy assisted a Cortez police officer as he took a man into custody for drinking and driving in the 10200 block of U.S. Highway 491.
