11:06 a.m A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
12:20 p.m. A woman reportedly attempted suicide. After she was cleared from the Southwest Memorial Hospital emergency room at 1311 N. Mildred Road, an officer placed her in custody on two outstanding warrants and left her at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
9:55 p.m. A man reportedly refused to leave the McDonald’s at 1322 E. Main St. After he gave a false name, and an officer discovered that he violated a protection order by consuming alcohol, he was taken into custody.
3:20 a.m. A woman reported that an unknown young woman was crying on her front porch. The young woman seemed intoxicated and was not speaking clearly. Officers observed that her mother’s car had been driven over an iron planter and was stuck nearby. An officer drove her home, and her mother promised to pick up the car the next day.
6:52 p.m. A heavily intoxicated woman was reportedly stumbling barefoot into traffic in the 500 block of Main Street. While she and an officer were en route to a homeless shelter, the officer discovered that the woman had given him a false name and had outstanding warrants. After she was medically cleared, she was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
2:09 p.m. A woman reported that someone keyed a car she was test-driving in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St. An officer estimated the cost of repairs at $1,000. There were no leads.
6:23 p.m. A man reportedly shoplifted about $122 from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. He was issued a summons and trespassed from the property.
7:43 p.m. An intoxicated man was reported for trying to break into cars in the 400 block of East Main Street. The man had a protection order prohibiting him from drinking. He allegedly resisted arrest and was aggressive throughout the drive to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. Officers contacted the reporting party, who stated that she did not want to press charges.
2:48 p.m. Two men reportedly were fighting in the 500 block of North Mildred Road. Both men claimed the other started it. Both were cited for disorderly conduct.
5:13 p.m. A man reported suspicious activity from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., after a woman accused him of stealing a car. She told the man that she was working with police and took photos of his license, registration and insurance. The man suspected a scam. The woman reportedly has a history of being involved with stolen vehicles.
10:42 p.m. A man was accused of stealing $87 worth of items from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The man gave officers the wrong name multiple times. The officers discovered the man had been trespassed from the Walmart a few days before. He was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and issued summons for burglary and criminal impersonation.
12:25 p.m. A collision reportedly occurred in the 1500 block of South Broadway when a woman pulled over to the right shoulder to prepare to make a U-turn. While making the U-turn, the woman’s car collided with a car whose driver was attempting to pass her. The woman was issued a summons for making a prohibited U-turn.
10:51 a.m. A man reported that his girlfriend broke his bike and threw an unknown item at him after an argument regarding their living situation in the 600 block of North Market Street. The woman was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and served a summons for domestic violence.
8:20 p.m. A man who was crouched against a building in the 1600 block of East Main Street was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
7:48 p.m. A woman was pulled over after an officer noticed her weaving between lanes in the 26000 block of County Road G. After reportedly failing to complete roadside maneuvers, she was issued summons for drinking and driving, failing to stop at a stop sign, and weaving.
9:38 a.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma Combined County Courts, 865 N. Park St.
10:38 a.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after an employee reported that he was car camping in the Auto Masters parking lot at 255 N. Broadway. The man had marijuana and possibly meth in his possession and was issued a summons for possession of a controlled substance.
